Don A. Pantino, D.D.S.
A graduate of Northwestern University School of Dental Medicine. For the past ten years Dr. Pantino has worked in conjunction with area physicians, sleep centers, and sleep specialists to provide treatment for patients diagnosed with Sleep Disordered Breathing (Snoring, Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome and Sleep Apnea).
Dr. Pantino is nationally recognized for his expertise in the field of Dental Sleep Medicine and has appeared on TV, radio, and presented lectures to dentists, physicians and patient groups. He is an associate clinical professor at the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Dental medicine where he developed and teaches the curriculum on Dental Sleep Medicine and is actively involved in research. Dr. Pantino holds several patents on devices and methods used in the treatment of sleep disordered Breathing.
An active member of the Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (ADSM) Dr. Pantino has served as chair of the Education and Curriculum Committee since 1997 and program chair of it's annual meetings 1999, 2000 and recently completed a two year term as president of the ASDM (2000-2002). He is credentialed in the treatment of Sleep Disordered breathing by the ADSM certifying Board and is a member of the special section on Oral Appliance Therapy of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). He has served as program chair for the annual joint session on Dental Sleep Medicine 1999-02 at the annual Affiliated Professional Sleep Societies (APSS) meeting. He serves on the editorial review boards of the journals Sleep and Breathing and Sleep Review. Additionally he is a member of the Sleep Unity Council, American Academy of Sleep Medicine, National Sleep Foundation, the Sleep Apnea Association and Pickwick Society.
